In accordance with the requirements of the “Rules for the Replacement of Positions of Head of Department, Dean and Deputy Dean in Higher Educational Institutions”, approved by the relevant order of the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijani Republic, on 20 December 2021, elections were held for the post of Dean of the Engineering Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU). According to the results of the secret ballot, the Dean of the Faculty was elected Doctor of Philosophy in Technology, Associate Professor Tavekgul Islamov.
T. Islamov graduated from the faculty of engineering of ADAU in 1989 and began working at the university in the same year. In 1994 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Development of digging technology for grape seedlings immersion and justification of working organs", In 1998 he received the title of associate professor in the specialty «Engineering». In 2007-2008 he worked as a head of department of the Ganja city organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) and in 12-year-deputy-dean of the engineering faculty.
